♻️ HERLIG SIA Scheme for Private Door-to-Door PET Collection System 

(Post-Industrial Only)

1. Source: Industrial Facilities (Generators)

• HERLIG SIA accepts only post-industrial PET packaging waste (e.g., pre-consumer PET waste from manufacturing, packaging cut-offs).
• Strict exclusion of hazardous residues (no pesticides, solvents, paints, etc.).
• Admixtures limit: <3% (paper, metals, other packaging materials).

2. Door-to-Door Collection Service

• Operated by private licensed collector(s).
• Scheduled door-to-door pickups directly from industrial generators to HERLIG SIA.
• Collected material is:
• In separate PET-only containers.
• Documented to ensure traceability and compliance.
• Transported in dedicated vehicles to avoid cross-contamination.

3. HERLIG SIA Sorting Facility

• All collected PET is delivered exclusively to HERLIG SIA.
• Activities:
• Manual sorting to remove contaminants and non-PET items.
• Baling of clean PET for efficient transportation.
• Facility maintains records of input/output material flows for compliance and traceability.

4. Transport to Recycling Facilities

• Baled PET is transported to authorized Recycling Factories.
• Final destination: facilities performing R3 or R5 recovery activities:
• R3 – Recycling/reclamation of organic substances (e.g., depolymerization).
• R5 – Recycling/reclamation of other inorganic materials (e.g., remelting into flakes, pellets).

✅ Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Acceptance criteria enforced at all stages (especially at collection and sorting).
• Regular audits of:
• Collection sources.
• Sorting outcomes at HERLIG SIA
• Output purity for baled PET.
